Remarkable amount,  much more than 03 and 19.

My thinking now about tmrw is probably 40c but only just

Still 32.2°C here. Incredible at 20:00.

It's possible it might still be above 30°C at 21:00, which would be beyond unheard of.

Proper nanny state.
In the headlines this afternoon “homeless people suffering blistered skin” ….translates to a few too many special brew, fell asleep and got sunburn.

As Rob show list of weather station I see Birmingham only 36C while Nuneaton on app show 37C max as it reached at 6.30pm after the clouds attack earlier on.  Don't know if Nuneaton have official weather station for the Met office?  I only see Coventry but Nuneaton is quite a big town as Redhill and Epsom which both had their weather station shut down.

Tomorrow is the Weather Cup final and very tense to see if we can win against the cloud attackers to get a new record and get a trophy.  Today first half was very poor and now a break tonight and play again tomorrow.  No work for me tomorrow so will watch the rise early and try to get a score early before cloud attacks.

Not sure if Battersea Heliport is an official station but it had risen to 35.5C at 7pm, its hottest reading of the day! Urban heat island in full effect!

How come during the heat of the day when the sun goes behind the tiniest wisp of a cloud, the temperature quickly drops by a couple of degrees…..but come evening when the sun has disappeared below the horizon the temperature seems to stay static (still 32c at half eight at night!).

Weather is a very frustrating business.

I’m not sure you understand what a nanny state is. Or is the state now the headline writers of the tabloids?

2018 is equal to 1976 for the UK. 76 was warmer in Central England.

We don’t even have a hosepipe ban or a ban on outdoor smoking in the countryside. Or even a ban on barbecues or bonfires. Vast swathes of France are on alerte canicule currently meaning a large number of ordinary activities are restricted. In the libertarian paradise of the UK, nada.
