You are going to hate me, but on the plus side some of you have got very close to my location with your guesses.

For the record I'll say why I do what I do.

About 10 years ago I was quite active in certain controversial communities on the internet and received a few threats, so have been a bit cagey about revealling where I live since then. I no longer really have that concern, but part of me is genuinely curious how many of you talented people are able to work it out just from the meteological information I give, I'm quite impressed and some of you are very close.
I do move around the area quite alot also so I don't have any one location.

Suffice as to say that snow streamer in E yorkshire is giving me welcome moderate snow right now! Very happy, most snow I've seen since March last year lol.

An inch of wet snow here, much to my surprise down in the Medway valley. Looks to be melting, as it's falling off the trees where it had settled.

Here in Ilfracombe Devon it is currently drizzly and meh. A bit of icy stuff overnight I think, and there were a few flakes of snow for a time this morning but no settling within sight even on the Torrs at 150m (but right on the coast). If it clears I will probably be able to see the snow on the Welsh mountains and I am sure there is plenty on Exmoor.

Photos from back home suggest an inch or two of wet snow but not settled on roads for the most part. Schools open.

I can only think that if you are implying there are people out to get you who do know your name, or your appearance, and are planning to stalk the local Tescos to lynch you when you go shopping, would there be an issue. But otherwise, I really can't see why just mentioning the town you live in would put you at risk when thousands of other people live in the same place.

Still snow moderately with a few heavy bursts, we've 10cms up till now but there's a lot of dripping going on so won't see any more settle till later on.

Just back from a walk to the summit of the Quantocks (370m).
I started here at 85m in a wet covering of about 6cm and by 150m the snow had dried out with the depth slowly increasing.  Above 250m the snow was starting to drift and had increased in depth to about 10cm. Above 300m there was much more drifting and level snow was about 15cm with the deepest drifts being 2 - 3 ft making for more challenging walking.
Back home 3 hrs later and the thaw is well underway with steady light rain.

Chucking it down with snow again at the wolf centre, a few miles SW of Reading - that 300ft or so elevation really helped today. Snow on snow...

Cold drizzle in central London. Will need to take care of my journey home, although I suspect the roads and rails will be fine.

Another complete and utter fail here in Witney.

No settling, one or two blobs of wet sleet in amongst the rain, but yet another damp squib.

March snow is not welcome to me in any case, but this diabolical effort is just cold, wet and thoroughly miserable.

We had about 20-30 mins of oscillating snow/sleet a short while ago, which has now turned mostly back to light rain - assume some slightly heavier precip managed to tip it over to being more snow.

I'm due to go up to Manchester tomorrow for a client visit, could be amusing given the train service is poor when the weather is good. Manchester itself is looking more likely to see rain/sleet/snow mix when I'm there if the MetO forecast is accurate although would imagine I'll see some snow as the train wanders out from London.
