Another warm (for May) and humid day today - the forecast cloudy morning didn't materialise, and instead it's been sunny all day. Next to no wind of course, as per usual, but there is the odd puff from the NE, coming in from the sea.

Currently 20.3, dew 15.5, with the high so far being 20.4.

There was a brief period, just after dawn, when the temperature fell a fair bit - down to just 10.3, which is cold by recent standards! I used my summer trick of a fan on the patio to blow that cool and - more importantly - lower dewpoint air indoors. It felt quite nice indoors for a while after that!

13.2C and calm, though the automated forecast says it is breezy and there is no low cloud
Low cloud will continue this morning. It will then break in the afternoon, revealing sunny spells. However, there will also be the chance of the odd shower. Staying breezy.

Started off fine with early morning sunshine, now low cloud is filling in the sky along with an increasing north east breeze making the current 13.6 C & mid 80% H feel cool and fresh. Looks like this Spring is about to stall yet again. 😂

Just shy of 26mm within an hour from that storm. Still amazed at how out of the blue (literally) it came.

Today was quite a fine day for most of the time with plenty of sunshine, but that once again came after yet another cloudy start to the day and so, only a total of 8.7 hours of sunshine were recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

This means that our increasingly long wait for that increasingly elusive first day of the year with 12 or more hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank goes on and with the weather being forecast to go downhill again by Wednesday, our chances of getting that in the more immediately future now appear to be vastly diminishing.

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 16.7°C but as I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh has now dropped back to around 10°C.
