Another day has dawned here in Edinburgh but our late summer permacast hell goes on with some light rain in the nearby vicinity just to our west.😡

Currently around 13°C here in Edinburgh.

EDIT:

It's now just started raining here in Edinburgh.

2nd EDIT:

And just like magic, the Sun has now appeared after that shower. Some blue sky has even started to appear although there's still a lot of cloud around.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Massive epic forecast failed today many expecting to be sunny day but turn out mostly cloudy.  Lot of complaints about this wrong forecast today from NW thread.  13 days left to see this horrible very poor non-heatwave summer out of the way.

A good deal of hazy high level cloud here, albeit it's still sunny. The humidity is much lower than of late and it feels much more pleasant both in and out as a result.
24.1, dew 12.4, the high today being 24.6.

I meant to tell you - several nights this week we've had our gas central heating turn itself on. This happens at 10C unless you specifically override it on the controller. We have done that now - it was unexpected. 20C here now - it's been overcast quite a bit of the day.

Mine's set to come on at 12.5C indoors, and there's no chance of that this side of November. By then I'll change it to its winter setting of 16.5 indoors.

I would expect a sub-10C minimum here in August every 2 or 3 years, and indeed there's a good chance of one on Wednesday morning. Dewpoints are forecast to be much lower than recently, and if winds fall light that's a recipe for a cold morning.

A outside  sub-10c or 5c min at this time of year is never going to be enough to impact indoor temps to any significant degree.

The sky looks very beige and hazy this evening. I seen a post on Facebook stating that it's high altitude wildfire smoke. There could be quite an interesting sunset later on.

A fair bit of milky high cloud and, of course, the haze from the fires this morning. Sunrise was beautiful, but I didn't see the moon - it had already set by the time I remembered to look for it! (It set at 4:48 this morning here).
Though temperatures are normal, it feels fresh and pleasant.

After yesterday's horrible gloomy, damp day it's autumnal again this morning. 12 C at 0900 with the first showers already in from the west.
The heating came on this morning, inside temperature 16.5 C (we have heating set at 17 C)
Looks like a cool, windy and wet week up here
