That's, erm, unusual to say the least! Sometimes this "smart" technology is anything but - fair enough it's keeping an eye on outdoor temperatures (my Google Nest thermostat does that too), but it should really check how quickly things are cooling down indoors, as well as the expected duration of sub 10C temperatures outside!
Mine's set to come on at 12.5C indoors, and there's no chance of that this side of November. By then I'll change it to its winter setting of 16.5 indoors.
I would expect a sub-10C minimum here in August every 2 or 3 years, and indeed there's a good chance of one on Wednesday morning. Dewpoints are forecast to be much lower than recently, and if winds fall light that's a recipe for a cold morning.
