Mostly overcast but breaking up a bit now for some bright spells. Moderately breezy 19.8c, 72% RH. The breeze is certainly making it feel cooler.

Another day here in Edinburgh with conditions which we didn't even see enough of during the summer.

It was completely sunny virtually throughout the day with a total of 11.1 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank which makes today our sunniest day of this month so far but that should end up being very difficult to beat during the rest of the year as days are rapidly getting shorter with the autumn equinox coming up within the next week.

Today wasn't quite as warm here as yesterday but the maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank still reached 20.3°C which makes today our second warmest day of this month so far.

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh has now dropped back to around 12°C.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Managed a peak of 22.1 C at 2.10 pm, that was when we had the best of the sunshine and was comfortable enough to sit outside for a couple of hours. Making the most of it as it'll be rubbish by this time next week.

The heaviest condensation I've ever seen on the windows this morning - all on the outside, thankfully. It's like having frosted glass in them all.

It's the humidity, of course; the overnight low was 14.4 (a couple of hours ago), but it's now 17.1, dew 16.5. As the sun hasn't reached them yet they're still cooler than the dewpoint, hence the heavy condensation that's formed.

Clear skies and just a light breeze from the NE.

In complete contrast to other recent days, today has started off on a dull and overcast note here in Edinburgh as normal service for here has now been resumed in that regard.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 8.6°C and it is currently around 10°C here in Edinburgh.

Ridiculously humid once more... the condensation only finally disappeared from the last of the windows an hour ago, and looking at the stats I can see why!
It's currently partly cloudy, 21.1, dew 19.0 - exceptionally high for mid-September.

We've hit the 25C around the same time today as yesterday. Can we squeeze a 26C? We didn't yesterday 😔

Edit: I've just looked and it's about an hour earlier today so i think 26C is real possibility.

Agreed though this is probably the last time until at least April that we will see these sorts of temperatures. I'm looking forward to a very snowy easterly based winter now 😂

For the first time in ages, the washing failed to dry on the line today. On paper it was a good day for it - breezy, sunny (pretty much all the time from late morning onwards), and warmish - peaking at 21C around 1PM.

I suspect the reason my polo shirts stayed slightly damp was because of that wretched humidity I mentioned earlier. It's been misty in the distance all day long, and the dewpoint has remained stubbornly high all day... it feels like you could grab a handful of air and wring out the moisture, it's that humid.

It's lingering into the evening, too. Mostly clear, 17.9, dew 16.6, 92% RH.

My first full day back from 3 weeks in the golden sun, sandy beaches and turquoise sea. I've just been for my daily walk up Blackford Hill in North Sea Haar (100 metres visibility), steady moderate drizzle and 10 C wearing hat, gloves and waterproof! Heating on this morning 😲
