ConclusionSeptember 2024 was a colder than average month overall and although there was a brief period of summer-like conditions in the middle of the month, that was nothing compared to the spell of hot weather at the beginning of last September which gave us last year's hottest day.
It was a slightly wetter than average month at Edinburgh Gogarbank but some stations in Edinburgh recorded a slightly drier than average month and even at Edinburgh Gogarbank, the number of official rain days was slightly below average.
Finally, September 2024 was yet another duller than average month overall and after the brief interruption in August to the run of duller than average months since January, normal service has once again been resumed in that department.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
