So are Liverpool. But like Arsenal they're going to have to rebuild. Oh wait, Liverpool have already peed away £100m+. The irony is that of the Liverpool players I like, such as Spearing, they cost bugger all and were there (I think) before the dead hand of Comolli cast a shadow over the club.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are in a better place than Liverpool, IMO. AOC is an excellent up and coming player. And we know the horrible little twunt that is Wilshere, certainly needs no introduction. Factor in the likes of Gibbs and they have a good crop of youngsters. However, Wenger or his sucessor is going to have to spend shed loads of money this summer just to keep pace with the likes of Liverpool, who will also surely be spending.

I saw a Villa fan quoted today who said MON is a phenomenal motivational manager. The problems only start when you give him money to spend.

Looking forward to Monday night, a confident Liverpool side against an excellent Spurs. Feel for Andy Carroll though as he has been much much better in the last two games, and now Suarez is back. As a pairing I just do not see them working. Will be interesting to see what KK does.

In theory, Carroll & Suarez should be a great combination. It's up to Dalglish to work it out.

I'd like to see Carroll kept up front, with both Suarez and Bellamy supporting. Maybe this game's too soon - I expect Suarez to be on the bench.
