What worries me is that Spurs will become too complacent ahead of the clash with Arsenal. If Spurs play anywhere near their potential it could be a rout, especially if Spurs score first and Arsenal have to chase the game. They had difficulty enough today with Sunderland's counter attacks, which, with the best will in the world, is plodding at best.

Harry has got to put out a reasonable team for tomorrows match, there could be injuries stemming from that game.

Certainly we will need our best team, as I assume that Arsenal will raise their game against Spurs, simply because of the teams rivarly. However if lennon and bale are on form, then I think we have a good chance.

In this mornings papers it is claimed Arsenals board are to change the policy on wages, starting with RVP offering him double what he is on now, apparently they are also going to offer the same to Edin Hazard andMario Goetze,  if they aren't in the CL then forget it, time will tell I guess

Shame then if they didn't offer better wages to the current crop, they might have played better.

Now you are left with the feeling that they are not good enough, not the best way to motivate your players for the rest of the season, especially as it's all ready been mooted that there will be a big clear out anyway.

I think Arsenal have reached 13 quarter finals in the last 6 years yet only reached 3 finals, says it all really.

It's not desperation its something that has to be done if you are to compete with the mancs and others.

Not PL, but Chelsea being spanked by themselves yet again. Can't believe just how crap Napoli are. How the hell they got out of their group is beyond me. Chelsea of old would have scored 6 tonight.

If, and its a big IF, AVB is in charge come the summer. I would expect quite a few 'big names' to leave and some of which would probably be quite a surprise to most.

Chelsea probably could get rid of AVB without paying a penny by hiring someone like Gus Hiddink as a 'director of football'. Giving him some sort of over seeing responsiblity, which would probably mean AVB would walk away (as he is reported as saying he would if someone else was bought it)

But, yeah, I do agree with you  I'm wondering how long he'll last. Certainly he needs the club to finish in the top 4. Otherwise it's bye bye AVB
