On the other hand, he has a unique talent to roger people when it comes to selling players. Berbatov to Man U certainly springs to mind. Probably the best deal Spurs have done in recent years.

I'd rather we keep Babel. And much, much rather we didn't sign Carlton Cole.
We were apparently trying to sign Fernando Llorente from Bilbao, with Insua and some pennies going the other way. But Bilboa apparently told us to come back with a real offer. Dunno if Llorente would have been good, but we do have a good record in signing Spanish splayers called Fernando.
Still, whatever happens, looks like Hodgson will have been a good, obedient doggy for the parasitic owners, delivering them a net transfer credit. Way to go, Roy!
