Tomato's, Chilli plants & Pepper shrubs all watered.

Twice today i had to water my tomato's... i knew i should have put them in bigger pots

20.2C here still...

but a nice northeast wind still blowing through.

Tomatoes are amongst the "etc"... actually, I've had to water the basil (in the sunlounge/greenhouse) 3 times a day recently!

Becoming more comfortable now at exactly 20c. Still very warm for 11pm

They grow basil as a hedge/ border plant at the local park/ health & fitness centre near me... it and the mint are thriving at the moment. Personally i think its an odd plan to have growing as border plant on a field.

Can you not move yours outside during the fine weather?

My nearest offical station (well the warm one) was at least 2c warmer  then any others in the southeast... 0.3c warmer then my own.

Me too yet this spell is lacking the humidity....

Max temp of 28.3c today, so slightly cooler in the fresher breeze.

Still 17.4c out there now, but feels so much more pleasent than those utterly still nights.

What is all this craving for humidity anyway?  Those I question will only say that they love it, but not why. Surely comfort is the all important factor, and humidity decreases the comfort zone. Heat on its own is fine, unless its get to levels as in USA at the moment, then it becomes debilitating which is further enhanced by humidity.

Anyway, sorry for going slightly off topic.

Humidty make's it feel warm and also it stops night time temps dropping (like they are now).. Its nice to be able to sit out at 11pm in 20C+ heat in just shorts.. especially as it will feel warmer then the temps would suggest and also humid air has that smell to it. Oh and dry heat like of late is just not as nice.
