Its ironical to think that one of the great bastions of heat and humidity would be suffering, in what is after all pretty normal values for the SE on any given summer.

I am shocked!!

Max temp of 28.3c today, so slightly cooler in the fresher breeze.

Still 17.4c out there now, but feels so much more pleasent than those utterly still nights.

What is all this craving for humidity anyway?  Those I question will only say that they love it, but not why. Surely comfort is the all important factor, and humidity decreases the comfort zone. Heat on its own is fine, unless its get to levels as in USA at the moment, then it becomes debilitating which is further enhanced by humidity.

Anyway, sorry for going slightly off topic.

Well dry heat is ok by me.

I am in Central London around this time, five nights a week, and I can only describe the conditions as horrible when it becomes humid.

There is only one way I want to become hot and sticky, but this is a family forum so I will leave it at that.

A full 4c cooler here than this time yesterday. Does that mean we'll only reach 24c today instead of 28c? Stay tuned... 👅

The BBC TV forecasts really are getting to be beyond a joke.

A high of 16°C here today? That is bordering on incompetence. It was already officially 18°C by 7:20am (warmer here in the city)

Ridiculous and increasingly annoying. Yesterday's forecast was nine degrees out.

Interestingly again, for exactly the same location and time, the regional BBC forecast had a high of 26°C!
