Ridiculous third umpire decision there. How can he overturn that decision, looked like an inside edge to me???

But "you win some, you lose some" is not a valid defence of sucha shocking brace of decisions from an off-field umpire who appears to be unable to understand and correctly implement the rules.

I wonder what Bob Willis will make of it. He is not afraid of calling umpires cheats and being crap ala his best mate Daryl Harper.

I think Trott can feel aggrieved assuming he hit it, but the Agar stumping decision was correct... Benefit of the doubt and all that. Being more or less a neutral, I couldn't have been 100% sure he was out.

F***ing England, bag of rancid toss. How they let a kid with two surnames, making his Test debut, score 98 runs, and also previous 'Ashes Rabbit' Hughes rack them up, is a f***ing disgrace. A pure, f***ing disgrace.

Then to lose two early wickets.

I hope the spineless, clueless bunch of tossers lose the series; they deserve nothing better. THey've let every England cricket fan down big time today.

We should have been pointing and laughing at the convicts, mercilessly ripping the p***. Instead, we've given them cause for celebration, something to smile and be happy about. And that is totally unfor-f***ing-givable. It doesn't matter now if we win the Test & the series. We've not been able to deliver a total humiliation. And that stinks.

And I think the decision to open with Root is backfiring spectacularly. We've sacrificed almost guaranteed runs down the order, and got in return even less than Compton could offer.

Bell MUST deliver this innings because he's been scratching around for form for several innings now, or I'd heave him out, put Root at No5, and bring Compton back in.

Finn should also have the hairdrier for his dumb-ass bowling at the 11th wicket partnership

Well played by Cook and Pietersen thus far. This is what test batting is about.

I am expecting these two to get big scores , no excuses from them. The longer they are in the easier the wicket will become

And I agree - it may not be 'exciting' but this is good test play from Cook and Pietersen - remembering also that we still have 3 days to go.
