Last wicket partnership being very productive. The batting order looks stronger with Bresnan in for Finn.

Record last wicket at Lords v Australia (now 48).

361-9.

361 all out. a fair bit below par thanks to the top order failing.

Expecting the Aussies to get a 50 to 100 run lead minimum. Watson is due a big score.

Convicts learnt nothing about wasting appeals. As plumb as you can be

Can't be that bad as he averages just shy of 30 in 19 tests...

Odd Lords match this, thought we had got away yesterday, 400 + on the cards, but now I am happy with 350ish. See how the convicts go later...

In 19 Test innings, he's failed to reach double figures in 8 of these, and only scored more than 20 on 5 occassions. A couple of big scores (90 & 91) and a smattering 'not outs' skew the average.

and that's the problem with wasting a review. Means you are less likely to ask for a review for a decision which could have been wrong.

Whilst Clark is there they're in tha same boat as England when Bell was at the crease.

Watson's review really was daft by all accounts. It seemed like a selfish decision.

If I was an Aussie I wouldn't be too sure about Smith at no.6 - but Clark remains the key wicket. Get him and 200 will look likely, barring another Agar masterpiece....

5 down now - are the Aussies just trying to get the real batsmen - no's 8,9,10 and 11?

Regardless of what the Aussie lower order have done with the bat this is partnership to break, Clarke and Haddin can get the Aussie close to England still.

That is  a MASSIVE wicket  6 down !!!!!!!

As I mentioned this morning, the convicts have batted like a bad pub team up until the first test. They're back on form now. Virtually every wicket down to bad batting. As for the reviews, can you imagine what's going to be said between Clarke, Watson and the rest of the team now?

The convicts in total despair 😂

The boy wonder at the crease now though Aus 93-6 (Trail by 268)

From BBC live

Shane Watson is the only player sat on the Australian balcony - being forced to sit with the grown-ups and coaching staff while the rest of his team-mates hide behind closed doors. Michael Clarke then appears, head bowed and shades and cap covering his furrowed expressions. A maiden over for Stuart Broad. The Aussies just want to bat until tea now.

Watson sitting with the grown ups for his own safety probably.

Blimey.

Not seen any of the action as I am at work, but sounds like the Aussies are batting like even bigger idiots than we did at times yesterday.

All I have to do is keep talking them up.. so expect Agar and Haddin to add 150+

4 successive maidens. We have got them by the testicles. They need to finish them off whilst they have this stranglehold. None of this fightback rubbish again.
