Yup, I'm taking a break from the model thread (and the analyses) for the summer. It may re-appear in the autumn, depending on how much time I have.

A very sultry 31C here at present according to the car thermometer. This agrees with the reading on:

https://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy-ab&q=weather+rg28&oq=weather+rg28&gs_l=hp.3..0j0i22i30l3.3443.6777.0.6899.12.8.0.4.4.0.744.1673.3j3j1j6-1.8.0....0...1c.1.23.psy-ab..0.12.1651.VnWrLhYZe3w&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.50165853,d.d2k&fp=b238d6239009a633&biw=1920&bih=1033

This same data was giving a reading of 33C at 3pm for here! Can anyone in the area confirm this? It's certainly the hottest day of the summer so far for me.

Hottest day of the year here now, recorded 28.4c, but like others have said the breeze makes it bearable.
If only we hadnt had that cloud until early afternoon , could have easily reached 30c here and 32c in Vale of York.
