22.9C today here which was just lovely.  Incredibly that is the second warmest August temperature that I have recorded since 2009.

Jiries - why do you insist on adding 5C to everything? It's starting to get to me. There is no point to any of this if we can't make an effort to be accurate.

Have to say that despite low stratus and rain, it doesn't in any way feel cold or even cool today - with little wind it's quite pleasant outdoors in just a t-shirt (albeit a wet one if you're out for long!)

My minimum temperatures are often very close to, if not a little bit higher than Kew Gardens. Heathrow's on the other hand are always a lot higher.

Maxed at 23.8'C here. I use 20'C as a measure of a reasonable summer temperature. I have reached that figure every day here since 2nd July. A great spell of weather

Ignoring temps: after today's grey damp day, and looking at the forecast for tomorrow, I think I can safely say that for Evesham ze heatwave is over!

24.5°C and several hours of glorious sunshine.

Every day since 4 July apart from 10 July has hit 20°C or above.

18 days have hit 15°C or more, when the average for Durham is 5 days per year above 25°C.

I know most of us enjoyed the heat&sunshine of July, especially as its been sooo long since we had

any prolonged hot weather, but isn`t it time for this thread to be put to bed, archived, now that we are

back to normal summer weather?? Just seems a bit silly having a heatwave thread as there isnt a heatwave.
