Well we've just had one of the best weather spells of the year, and today is looking superb at the moment. Added in we've seen a couple of views of the northern lights as well. Alas, a change is afoot so its all down hill by comparison from today. Just now we have a stunning golden sunrise in progress with the clouds lit up red. While there is some cloud it is mostly clear. Light south easterly winds, no rain and fairly mild at just under 9C. Low was 2.6C so no frost but a heavy dew.

Cloudy, fresh SE winds that were up to gale force with the moderate to heavy rain earlier. Pressure has fallen to 1002mb. Temperatures starting to recover -  now 10.9C from 9.8C in the rain band.

Rain arrived about 3pm and we've had 8mm already, looks like an hour or so to go.
Chilly too at 8.6C
