Heard a distant rumble of thunder in the distance about ten minutes ago, looks like we're missing it here, all passing to the south of this location but at the moment it's very dark with light rain.

I eat my words, I just went to cut a couple of pumpkins and was met by a flash of lightning and a huge rumble of thunder, then had another straight after.

Meanwhile, we had one big flash of lightning and deep rumble of thunder, which is notable around these parts. Certainly the first time this year and probably the first in many years.

Thunder from your storm Jim even heard from here in Radstock with two bright flashes way to the South. Mind you it is unusually dark at the moment.

Some interesting weather down towards southsea fair ground area. I work near by and our early morning clearner said there was a storm around 7am and at one point all the doors and windows started to rattle badly - this only lasted about a minute or so. They went out back to find all the trollies out side had toppled over... these things weigh in over 60kg. Could have been a downburst or tornado.

Great fun out there at the moment. Huge lightning flash accompanied with a 'from the bellows' rumble then a minute or so later a huge gust of wind which you could see coming across the Common as the trees on the far side were bending almost double whilst it was all still here.

All the more strange as so far that's the only lightning. Big hailstorm this morning with impressive gust front and lots of rain though. Certainly not a day to be flying into London.

Small storm just rattled through. So small that it remained sunny throughout, but a couple of nice CGs, heavy rain, and all in all very picturesque.
