Mind you, the squall line isn't too far away (about 10 minutes away) - wonder how The Shield will handle that one.

My closest station is Filton, about 6 miles away, and was reporting 9c at the same time. Admittedly my report was probably a good hour out of date as that was the reading when I'd left home.

Observations between 9 pm last night and 6.15 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Mainly clear, until high cloud slowly made the moon go hazy in the small hours. However, it easily enabled an air frost to set in.
THIS MORNING: It quickly clouded over at dawnbreak which lead to overcast skies and rain for the rest of the morning.
THIS AFTERNOON: Cloudy with occasional rain at first, then it brightened up just before sunset time and lead to clear skies for the rest of the afternoon.
CURRENT:  Clear.       2.8 C.     89% humidity.       Dewpoint: 1.2 C.       Moderate north west breeze.          Falling slowly to 995.1 mb.

WINDS: Light west last night and into this morning, then moderate to occasionally fresh north west in afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Superb, very clean and fresh.
VISIBILITY: Mostly good.
COMFORT FACTOR: Icy this morning, cold and wet all day, rather bleak in nature.
RAINFALL (in mm):  4.2
TEMPERATURES (in C):        Max: 7.0 at 12.15 pm.           Min: -1.1 at 5 am.
PRESSURE (in mb):            Max: 1015.3 at 9.30 pm last night.         Min: 995.1 currently.

Prceip type radar is really struggling to resolve the different types. Nocible red (snow) over higher ground, but patches of grey keep appearing on locally lower ground, especially away from the coasts.

For instance the shower currently NE of norwhich is supposdly a mix of rain, sleet and snow.
