A perfect year would be frequent snowfalls from around mid-December to mid-February, followed by a steady thaw through the second half of February to avoid flooding.
Then a nice early start to spring in March, with temperatures pushing into the mid-teens.
A good blow at the back end of March, plenty of convective showers and squally winds (not damaging ideally)...
April showers early, with a late spring snowfall just to freshen things up.
As we head towards May, a significant warm-up with temps around high teens to low 20s with plenty of clear blue skies.
Throughout May, much the same (no rain on Saturdays please so I can play cricket).
Thunderstorms and high humidity June/July/August, but preferably overnight and gorgeous sunny skies during the day (again particularly on Saturdays so there is no cricket interruptions).
Temperatures ideally the hotter the better....mid to high 30s would be great.
September, a nice gentle cool down to low 20s with ideally no rain.
Gales (but not damaging) in October, and some sharp frosts and crystal clear blue skies in November to see the vibrant colours of Autumn against the backdrop of blue skies.
December, we start all over again, with significant snow and easterlies just around Christmas.
Not much to ask is it?
