How exceptional is this, is it the Aussie equivalent of our early summer snow in June 1975?

This winter just gone has been a VERY mild one around Australia. I do notice that we tend to get these late snow events after a mild winter similar to how this can occur in the UK.
It is harder to get a buckle in the jet stream this side of the equator, we don't have the benefit of a large land mass to disrupt the flow to the south of Australia. But when it does happen it can bring very cold air.
