If you are wondering where winter has gone here's a view of Jerusalem this morning

http://www.inbalhotel.com/jerusalem-live-camera-old-city-view

I believe that Jerusalem gets more snow than London for example so perhaps not that unusual

I actually found it very useful for them to post the links to previous forecasts and articles which greatly helps the verification and analysis of their data.

For instance, the article 'Winter 2013 to be the longest in history' by Rao on the 22nd Nov stated:

“This period of snow and cold is likely to result in an incomparable scenario to anything we have experienced in modern times.

“A scenario similar to December 2010 is likely to develop, but on a more prolonged scale in terms of overall duration.”

Umm.

I don't think the verification process is goping to be too successful, do you?

UK Outlook for Wednesday 18 Dec 2013 to Friday 27 Dec 2013:

It should remain windy across much of the UK with the most unsettled weather in the north and west, where there will be a continuing risk of heavy rain and severe gales. Across the south and east the rain should be less widespread and the winds not as strong. Generally mild although some wintry showers are possible in the northwest at times, and there will be some overnight frosts. Through next weekend and into the following week, there is still likely to be the risk of severe gales and heavy rain mainly in the northwest. It should still be mild at times, however there is an increasing chance of temperatures dropping to near or below normal, bringing a risk of frost generally and snow over northern high ground.

UK Outlook for Saturday 28 Dec 2013 to Saturday 11 Jan 2014:

Conditions look likely to remain rather unsettled, especially towards the north and northwest of the UK, with the best of any drier and brighter conditions towards the south and southeast. Temperatures probably staying around normal across the United Kingdom generally, although there could be some colder nights in the south and east with a risk of frost and fog in places.

UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Dec 2013 to Monday 30 Dec 2013:

Remaining unsettled throughout the weekend, often windy with showers or longer spells of rain, and a continuing risk of severe gales, mainly affecting parts of the north and west. Temperatures around normal or rather mild at first, especially in the south and east, becoming a little below normal in the northwest on Sunday. Thereafter, conditions look set to remain unsettled, with further spells of wet and windy weather, and some heavy rain at times. The north and west is generally most likely to see the wettest and windiest weather, however towards the end of next week, it may be southern areas bearing the brunt of the strongest winds. Fairly mild in the cloudier spells, but a little colder than average with overnight frosts during clearer periods, mainly towards the northwest.

Well Faversham has frequent snowfalls that don't even get a mention on the BBC but get an inch of slush in Dymchurch and it's a national emergency.
