It's quite interesting to see how perspectives differ according to your location.
Here in rural Kent, this winter has certainly not been without interest.
So far this month, I have recorded 8 air frosts. Yes, I live in a frost pocket, but to put it into perspective, last December I had 9 in total. The December before, 8.
These have included a few spectacular hoar frosts, and a few nights of freezing fog, sometimes very dense.
This has led to a few exceptionally icy mornings where the rural roads were transformed into a white icerink.
Combined with some nice sunshine in between, it's actually been quite a memorable spell of weather.
The tide is now turning to an unsettled and windy spell of weather. Again, not without interest.
All we need now is some snow at the end of the month, and the picture is complete!
Anyway, better go before I get booted out of the moan zone!
