147.4mm for the month to date, 39mm from the storm yesterday and early morning today, the rain caused some minor flooding in the usual low lying areas along the river Frome. I did miss a good photo opportunity this morning, (no camera) spotted two horses stood on a tiny Island with flood water all around them, with the early sun gleaming on the water it looked fantastic, probably not for the horses but luckily the water was receding so they'd be ok later, can't understand why they weren't moved away from the flood though, it could have been a lot worse.

So overall the flooding quite severe in places. One thing did make me chuckle though and that was our works carpark was covered in apples that had been washed downstream from god knows where.

I am now at 252mm for the month, but would like to see another 10mm or some this evening and overnight if i am to be in with a chance of hitting the magical 300mm.

Looking increasingly marginal though.  At a guess i think ill finish the month at 285mm but we'll see in a week.

Confidence in exceeding 300mm is increasing   i have no idea if this is a special/rare milestone, but i have certainly not recorded it.

Edit - apparently my record is 307.2mm in Feb 2011 but i think a lot of that would have been snowmelt.
