I am really liking the look of the new jetstream charts on the Chart Viewer.  Good stuff.

Netweather seems to have done something similar on many of its charts.


Did you use some smoothing algoritm? Is it anti alising?

2021/2022 Snow days (approx 850hpa temp):

26/11 (-5), 27/11 (-7), 28/11 (-6), 02/12 (-6), 06/01 (-5), 07/01 (-6), 06/02 (-5), 19/02 (-5), 24/02 (-7), 30/03 (-7), 31/03 (-8), 01/04 (-8)
Total: 12 days with snow/sleet falling.

Just added in a new precip type and surface pressure chart for the our part of the northern hemisphere. Shows up snow quite nicely. Select NA Precip type:

Got some changes starting with the GFS12z today (if the CPU has enough grunt to spin them up  ) on the Chart viewer page.


New
Key charts +-
500hPa cont - this has continuous colours and should look quite pleasing on the eye


Enhancements
Key charts +-
UK Precip type - reworked with much better colours and shading
UK wind gust - gust speed in mph added to the plot


Other +-
Arc 850hPa - new projection and smooth colouring
Arc 500hPA (GPDM) - new projection and continuous colouring
