another nice spring day ahead of us, in the sun all very pleasant, helping to bring on the plants, and help maintain healthy growth generally in the garden, you wouldnt believe were a northern latitude country & its only early January....the irony of the recent forcasts.

Morning,

Colder today with a stiff south westerly wind. Dry so far with sunshine and broken cloud, but overnight wintry showers have seen snow lines descent to about 300m. I suspect we will see further wintry showers through ther day. Temps chilly but feeling raw in the wind.

Observations between 7.15 pm last night and 6 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Cloudy with occasional light rain.
THIS MORNING: Dull with a burst of moderate rain at dawnbreak, then suddenly skies cleared up at 8.30 am and lead to clear skies and unbroken sunshine for the rest of the morning.
THIS AFTERNOON: Unbroken sunshine which lead to a clear evening.
CURRENT: Clear.     5.2 C.         74% humidity.       Dewpoint: 0.9 C.        Light north west wind.          Rising to 1022.1 mb.

WINDS: Moderate to fresh south west last night, then it veered into as a north west this morning as well as becoming lighter and stayed that way for the rest of the day.
AIR QUALITY: Stunning, very clear and fresh.
VISIBILITY: Stunningly crystal clear after that bleak start.
COMFORT FACTOR: It was bleak, dark and wet first thing this morning, but as soon as the sun came out by 9 am, the lighter wind made it very pleasantly mild in the sunshine and thus made for a perfect afternoon to potter about in the garden - if anything, I can even still feel the glow on my face. It also helped with the drying up process - probably the first decent line washing day in a while.
RAINFALL (in mm):  0.6
TEMPERATURES (in C):        Max: 9.8 at 1 pm.          Min: 5.2 currently.
PRESSURE (in mb):           Max: 1022.1 currently.         Min: 1012.3 at 5 am.
