To clarify, scroll down to the model data tick box, click on settings and change GFS to ECMWF. And appparantly we have acesses to 180hours of new paramers incluidng snow fall and 2m temp!


 


I really don't get this, I have spent hours on the ECMWF website, and I can only find the basic free parameters that everyone else has acesses too. Places like weatherbell (that charges) and now apparanty wunderground that does it for free get all this?! Where does it come from, and why can't I get the raw data myself.

The same place that Meteocentre, WXBell, Accuweather do - private  servers from the ECMWF. Pay them enough and you'd get access to it too!


(AFAIK there's no rule that says ECMWF data can't be given away on a website, providing you pay enough to secure the rights to the data that is!)

I don't I just registered at their website. I believe I can get acess to various archive and research data, but to do so would breach TOS because it is for research purposes only so I haven't done so, in any case what I really want is the operational data which my password doesn't work for, and I'm not sure about TOS.
