Surprised this thread is so quiet.

Snow chances for the North and some Central/Southern areas over the next couple days - the best we have had all winter!

A little wet snow here this morning but only enough to leave a slushy deposit on car windscreens and wheelie lids.

2 to 3 cms at my parents house in Highland Perthshire earlier.

West and East Midlands, parts of Wales favourite for snow and wintry showers tonight. A distinct band and shallow disturbance runs west to East after dark. Could be a few waking up to a surprise dusting in the morning, before yet more wet and wild weather swamps vast parts of the country

Those MetO forecasts seem out of date/wrong to me.

GFS 12z clearly shows temperatures rising after midnight, ahead of tomorrows storm - wind, rain, gales. Snow on highest hills.

The lightest 'wintry' precipitation falling in Penrith - what has this winter come to when I'm gazing out the window trying to pick put the smallest snow grains against a dark background and getting mildly excited....
It has been another lovely day actually, cold but blue skies. Tomorrow, however...

Had some snow this morning but it only stuck to some surfaces, it's gone now but nice to look at, I guess I could class that as some accumulation this Winter. However as I look to my east I can see some of the hills (Pennines) are still very white, but it seems the proper snow accumulations that lasted without melting was high (350-400m). Looks like the Alps when I look out.

If this chart is close to the money, then WIO for the S. If you want snow, head to the N hills or better still, Scotland.

Q that first webcam link is from New Hampshire.

My mum has posted photos with snow cover at home in Coleraine. Somewhat unusual for them to have snow and there to have been almost none here so far in winter.
