Astonishing temperature rise today. I haven't been outside to feel it yet but at Odiham, for instance, the temperature rose from 4.5C at 12 noon to 11.1C at 4pm!

Its also noteable that the wind speed and gusts have got stronger as the temperature has sharply risen.

Some huge gusts of wind now here on the South Coast in Bournemouth. Not a constant strong wind but big gusts then calm then another big gust and so on.

Lots of missed approaches being executed at LHR now, right in the middle of one of the busiest times! I doubt we'll be able to take any at Manston either, with very strong cross-winds already present. It's gonna be a very long night for many plane passengers tonight!
