Overcast and wet. There is a bit of a breeze making the current temperature of 5.9 C feel unnecessarily cold.

Apparently this rain is set in for the rest of today and into tonight as the rain belt pivots over this far South East corner. Doubtless there'll be renewed flooding issues for prone areas - not good for those trying to recover from it all.

So far today, it has been trying ever so hard to brighten up and there doesn't appear to be as much rain as I thought there is going to be. However, the rainbelt is expected to "double back" on itself later on today as the system heads south-eastwards towards the French coast.

As far as I'm concerned, for every hour that isn't raining today is a bonus. We have had enough of the watery stuff, thank you very much.

7.7 C with 90% humidity. Dead calm wind.
