Very strong storms passed through here earlier. I was at work so couldn't 'enjoy' them as much as I might like but there was almost constant thunder and buckets of rainfall.

As well as being intense, that early afternoon storm was fairly widespread. You're probably ten miles South of me and Snowfairy got it about 25 miles North. From here it moved East towards Andy in Gainsborough. I think the Pennines are the reason we do so well with thunder storms. They tend to gather momentum in the Derbyshire Peaks, and intensify as they cross East into flatter Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. My son described seeing what sounds like a funnel cloud three miles away on the Derbyshire border just before the storm began here.
It's gone quite dark again here and we're getting a few spots of rain. Oh for a night time lightning display. Mustn't be greedy though.
