Goal-line technology IMO should have been introduced after Euro '96 when a Romanian player sent a shot crashing off the underside of the crossbar in a game against Bulgaria which then crossed the line, but wasn't seen by the officials. Romania lost the game 1-0 and went out of the tournament. The fact it took until after the last World Cup before anything was done was a total joke.

Given all the money available you'd expect it to be a lot more polished than it is. Comparing goal line tech to that used in cricket referrals is like comparing the Money for Nothing video to one made today. Laughable. Almost as amateurish as ITV's 'Brazil Brazil' half time chant. (Assuming that's not a p**s take).

So the important game coming up; Italy vs Uruguay. I want the Italians to go through, if only to see that petulant, nasty little cnut Suarez cry. That would make my day.

It will almost certainly be draw so both sides go through.

Im beginning to think the team that wins it will be the team that can score the most goals not who`s got the best defence.

France look the strongest going forward and my tip as eventual winners.

Does that work for Sky? Many of the events I want to watch happene to be on Sky Sports nowadays (  ).  I've been OK with this World Cup and the last Euros just because ESPN are broadcasting every game live and online.  I'll take a look at what I can get out of a geounblocker, thanks for the tip!

This referee is killing me (for anyone bothering to watch the Costa Rica v England game).  Terrible game to watch with all the stop-start happening.

Agreed. Sturride, though a great talent, needs to do better.  I'd have betted Rickie Lambert would have wished for that header chance.

It's a large part of the story of Englands World Cup though, several gilt-edged chances missed which would have been the difference in the end scores. At this level you need strikers who put away their one chance to score; look at Klose of Germany as a prime example.

Wilshere so weak on the ball, goes down at the slightest touch. Shaw looking good at Left Back though

If the score stays as it is, I imagine that means the Italians will be out as well.

In some ways he'd have fitted in well with the team Uruguay had against us back in '86.

Hopefully, someone will break the litte s.h.it's leg before the tournament is over. The more you look at the incident the more it appears to be a deliberate bite.

Very poor effort by Italy and deservedly will be returning at the same time as England. It only goes to further highlight how dire England have been at this World Cup. Both my teams are out so I'll be supporting Holland from now.

Just catching up with this and that bite incident is just astonishing. If ever there was a team that does not deserve to be in the second round it is Uruguay. Let's not forget Godin's cynical red card that never was against England, and add to that Suarez in this game biting another player Suarez sure does have form in biting, and cheating in World Cups (last WC against Ghana anyone?).

Some amazing football in this WC, and some awful refereeing.  Riveting stuff though!

Edit - I'm informed it is the THIRD time he has bitten someone   Throw the book and more at him. Sport has no place for thugs, esdpecially with previous.  It is evident he has a real problem and cannot be rehabilitated.
