So which riveting game to watch next? Japan V Columbia or Ivory Coast V Greece? Neither fill me with excitement.

What a disgusting, vile little thug of a man Suarez is. I would hope he's banned for the rest of the tournament and half of next season

I'm watching its not great England B side doing ok. Smalling looks terrified. Sturridge proving he isn't world class got to do better than that

It's a large part of the story of Englands World Cup though, several gilt-edged chances missed which would have been the difference in the end scores. At this level you need strikers who put away their one chance to score; look at Klose of Germany as a prime example.

Wilshere so weak on the ball, goes down at the slightest touch. Shaw looking good at Left Back though

At least we don't bite people though.

Fifa's reaction to this could be the nail in the coffin for Septic Bladder if they go easy on Suarez, so all is not lost.

I really think Liverpool should sell him at the earliest opportunity. As I've just said on my Facebook page, talented player or not, behaving like that he's a major liability.

Depending on how this gets punished (third time biting offence no less! Dutch league, Premier League, and now World Cup), I can't see anyone wanting to buy him.

On the plus side:

1) international bans don't carry over to club football (although I wouldn't put it past the corrupt b*stards at the top bending the rules), and he can now get proper fit for the start of the domesstic season

2) his actions will hopefully put off RM and Barca

I've seen players cynically hack down other players, putting them out for months - or even having their career ended, and be cheered on by their fans. I've seen players convicted of criminal behavoir, sometimes even imprisoned, and be welcomed back. Morals in football seem to be on a mixed basis.

Biting is rather disgusting and immature - but it's hardly killing someone. He obviously has an anger problem, it could blow up in Liverpool's face even more than it previously has. But, in the meantime, I'll enjoy his sublime skills and amazing scoring ability helping my team drag our asses back toward the top where, due to growing up in the 70's and 80's, I'll always believe we belong

But, as I said, my fear is that, despite no ban imposed for foul play in an international game ever being extended to a player's domestic career, Blatter and his scumbags will bend the rules that sees Liverpool punished, too.

Uruguay team's reaction to this (though of course they'd stand by him) is disgraceful and every fan is going to be opposing them:

Uruguay captain Diego Lugano: "You saw this, really? You need to show me because I didn't see anything. Did you see it today or did you see what happened in other years. You couldn't have seen it today because nothing happened.

"The worst of everything is the attitude of Chiellini. He's a great player, with an enormous status. It doesn't correspond with Italian football. As sportsmen leaving the field, crying and appealing against a rival. As a man he disappointed me totally."

I wonder if he's ever seen Suarez dive and appeal?  You'd think spending all that time on the bench last season Lugano would have had plenty of time to watch the PL.
