Storms breaking out to the South and West of Leicestershire now on net radar with heavy showers passing just to the west of here.
Convection is building over head to with towers rising rapidly.
Massive cloudburst with thunder here near Wantage. Very impressive.

Fingers crossed something happens here as we missed out last night - just some showers in the early hours of the morning. There's a lot of pesky stratocumulus that keeps coming over though so that may put a spanner in the works. We'll have to see.
Thunder just heard to the SW of here.
Just had a cheeky popcorn type power shower pass over Folkestone, even came with a couple of rumbles. The sun is out again now and everything is all moist and steamy. The lawn is looking so gorgeous for it.
According to the radar, something developing south of here. I can hear distant rumbles of thunder. Might be a tad to the west though.
Very dark with strong gusty winds and thundering.
Gale force gust just than!
Final risk of tornadoes today, with the highest risk over the E midlands:

EHI peaking at about 2 today and falling through the afternoon, however EHI tells you about the ability for supercell formation, you also need a high CAPE, so while the EHI falls off today, the CAPE rises, so the greatest risk is probably at 6pm tonight. After that it seems unlikely imo, although it already is unlikely.

Constant booming thunder with strong gusty winds.
Those storms down between Le Havre and Rouen are very powerful, but they appear to have been detained in Customs and have not really budged for a while now.
Oxford storm umbrella working fine today. Temp 28C, DP 22.6C. Lots of rumbles off to the west, but here a lovely hot and sticky afternoon.
Gale force winds and and heavy driving rain just starting!
Convergence line in the E midlands, expect an explosion in activity there in the next hour or so. High EHI aswell makes supercell formation possible.
I'm actually looking east of where the current shower activity is though.
Also need to watch that monster that is leaving the N coast of france. Rain rates on that are unbelievable.
Constant thunder heard rumbling away now to my south. Looks like we may catch this one

Light rain with thunder at the mo and dead clam now to with little wind.

Lots of cumulus making a break for cumulus congestus just west of here... shows the atmosphere destabilising, but I fear that the steering flow might be too fast to allow them to develop into anything before clearing Reading.
My main remaining source of hope is that cell which spawned near Andover - it showed that something could get going further south with any luck.
Can't say I'm feeling very lucky though
Occasional overhead cc flashes and the thunder is taking 10 seconds to reach us!
No sign of anything round here - sunny and exceptionally humid.
Some continuous deep rumbles to the east of here, sounds a powerful storm. Looks to be heading towards witney/oxford

Feeling a little fresh now at round 17c and dew point down to 15c.
Cloudy with some light rain at the mo.
