Walked up Arthur's Seat and watched a thunderstorm coming over the Forth. Got some great pics but haven't yet mastered posting them despite many instructions!

Having sat and watched a few roll past earlier this afternoon, we now have a thunderstormette in progress here in Thanet.

Many of the local chavs think they've just woken up with a banging headache

Somebody down the road has just had the firebrigade out.

I think the standing water is starting to cause some problems.

Two significant prolonged thunderstorms here this afternoon with torrential rain and hail.

I think there'll be some significant local flooding hereabouts again for the second time in a week. The rain has varied from the merely heavy to absolutely torrential for the last few hours.

Edit: getting darker again and looks like another cell rolling in now.

A grim day here. The ESTOFEX forecast was spot on. Rain heavy to torrential for most of the afternoon. Looks like we were trapped under a convergence zone. Lots of local flooding. The main road through the village is closed by flooding for the second time in a week

A clump of cells heading towards us here at the moment, and unusually it's coming from the north, so I get a good view from my office window of the CBs approaching. Looks like they're possibly decaying a bit as they cross the Thames Estuary/Southern North Sea, so not expecting too much.
