-2c in August madness! A record low for August in Northern Ireland aparantly. Just goes to show you can still get cold records broken in the warmest of years.

Previous August minimum in Northern Ireland was -1.1C at Loughermore Forest on 21 August 1964. It is not often that we see a national record broken.

Ground frost here again so that is the most frosts in August i can recall in this area It would have been colder still, except there was quite a lot of high cloud.
