Rain band fizzled to nothing around here as it crossed the high ground to the west, often the case in this very dry part of Highland.

To make matters worse the only place he can park is very exposed up by the moor.
It does look as tough it might not be too bad until 10am by which time they will be loaded.
By contrast today is 18C bright and windy.
Have just baled some hay of sorts made from pasture toppings really, and it was so dry it was trying to blow away as soon as the machine touched it. Not often that happens in October but baling straw would not be that unusual.
