Joe B's link was very interesting - we have blocking across the arctic but the model is showing the result of the opposite further South where you'd expect the arctic to have very little blocking present based on pressure patterns shown. Based on that and also the extreme nature for it to repeat twice, I'd be surprised if CFS does not flip massively next month from the extreme position today.
Also I really like the LRF's but even JMA has trouble getting a month right quite often so for 6 months ahead is JFF, look forward to your blog post mini Winter update tonight.
