So BBC weather forecaster this afternoon said there was a warning out for 100mm of rain to fall over northwest Scotland in the coming day or so, he then added that some places could see double that!! Lol could you imagine the pandamonium if that was forecasted for anywhere else in the UK?

A little bit disappointing here, we were just a little too far SE to stay under it on Monday day time, so the rivers etc had a chance to drop.

Total for the event ended at around 65mm, but my weather station has included rain from Sat in the "storm total" which gives 81.6mm.

More than double this has fell less than 30 miles to the NW of here.

A couple nice landslides and floods around this morning, but dried up very quickly.

Final total here is 79.6mm. Only just above average in the end after a very wet first half of the month.

My final October total is 70.5mm,  making it a rather wet month here.    However that hides a distinct variation between the first and second half of month - whilst the first half was very wet, only 7mm of rain fell in the second half of the month.
