Charts from the Canadian GEM / Global Deterministic Prediction System (GDPS) 25km resolution model are now available on the TWO chart viewer:

1) Select GEM on the Chart viewer:

http://www.theweatheroutlook.com/twodata/datmdlout.aspx

2) Select the chart from MSLP 850hPa C, NH 500hPa GPDM, NH 850hPa C

3) Select the hour, 0 to 240 in 3 hour steps

The charts should update at about 05:15 and 17:15 daily.

The GPDS has a higher horizontal resolution than the current operational GFS. Not sure about the vertical specs.

EDIT: GEM is not currently available on the XS smartphone view.

I know this is a big ask, but would there be any possibility of extending the colour scheme a little? One of the things that nearly all graphical renditions fail at is having a colour scheme that takes the extremes into account; especially at the low end. For 2m temp for example I don't know anywhere where you can easily distinguish temps below about -40C

2023/2024 Snow days (approx 850hpa temp):
29/11 (-6), 30/11 (-6), 02/12 (-5), 03/12 (-5), 04/12 (-3), 16/01 (-3), 18/01 (-8), 08/02 (-5)

Total: 8 days with snow/sleet falling.

2022/2023 Snow days (approx 850hpa temp):

18/12 (-1), 06/03 (-6), 08/03 (-8), 09/03 (-6), 10/03 (-8), 11/03 (-5), 14/03 (-6)

Total: 7 days with snow/sleet falling.

2021/2022 Snow days (approx 850hpa temp):

26/11 (-5), 27/11 (-7), 28/11 (-6), 02/12 (-6), 06/01 (-5), 07/01 (-6), 06/02 (-5), 19/02 (-5), 24/02 (-7), 30/03 (-7), 31/03 (-8), 01/04 (-8)
Total: 12 days with snow/sleet falling.

Thanks Brian. TWO is fast becoming my first port of call wrt model analysis. GEM is another helpful addition.

Would it be possible to turn the purple to black and then a gray scale for instance? Oh and twister, obviously I don't think this is going to have any relevance to the UK, but sometimes its nice to know just how deep the pools are over russia!

Tbf to you brian, your charts are actually superior in this regard to many of your competitors anyway; I'm going to start using TWO charts more often. In terms of bottoming 2m temp:

Netweather: -24C

Meteociel: -26C

Weatheronline: -28C

TWO: -30C

Wetter: -45C

Wetter3: -45C

Instant: -50C

Weatherbell: -59C

Weatherbell is premium though, Instant doesn't even offer 850s, Wetter3 doesn't go beyond 180 hr or the basic GFS, and you don't want to have to refresh wetter when its 12Z time.

Anyway apologies for offering this criticism without praise, I love your chart-viewer and this is the only thing I'd like in an ideal world; I understand not everyone has my tastes though.
