Yes, they are REALLY smelly! Although it was early in the season so the poo hadn't had time to build up. You are not allowed to approach the penguins, but if you sit still, they can and do approach you.We saw a few small avalanches too, and heard plenty of bigger ones. A smallish avalanche caused a mini tsunami, and set an iceberg pitching and rolling.It toppled over in the bay and split into two.
