Well here in uttoxeter we are about 25 miles north of Birmingham as the crow flies I wasn't really expecting much this evening it looked just to the south of us however the shower activity seems to be feeding in a fraction furthur north and fingers crossed we may just catch a glancing blow

So far this evenings showers have been light and have not lived up to the Amber warning. Roads still dodgy where not treated from this mornings snow.

Just got home to find a very slushy covering on cars and the conservatory roof. Fingers crossed for more tonight!

Started snowing again - about another 30 mins to go, adding to the cover from earlier. At least it's something!

Large flake heavy snow now in Glasgow, wild in the wind. first real 'heavy' snow this winter. Good covering now. A bit anxious about commute tomorrow now.

The snow-killing effect of the mountains up here is incredible. Band after band of heavy snow fizzles out to the point that there no point in looking at the radar to see what is coming, because no matter how promising it looks, what is coming turns out to be, nothing.

About an inch and half from earlier snow today on car roof tops (missed that as at work!), got a good blast just there for about 2 hours.

BBC weather are going for a bit more snow here later in the night, a top up would be nice, we shall see.  Clear skies have moved over us at the moment so what's left of the snow will freeze a bit, still a slight covering on the roof and the cars/grass. Either way it looks a bit icy on the road by tomorrow morning.
