Similar here with the Pennines (tho not so much tonight thankfully)... loving it when it's rain that doesn't make it... cursing it when it's snow!

I can almost hear the thrumming sound coming from the Folkestone Rain Deflector here.  A shame it won't be as effective tomorrow night.

I know it's very unscientific, but it doesn't even feel cold out there like it does when snow is due. I just dropped my wife out to her friends and I was in a t-shirt and didn't feel cold at all. Not that icy feel you get. It just feels like a chilly, damp evening

It's all about the altitude tonight Matty - we have a slushy covering on cars and the grass and i'm not more than 10 or so miles from you as the crow flies. Temp here is currently 0.3 c

If you don't get snow tonight, then I wouldn't fret - it'd all be washed away tomorrow/Thursday anyway. I'm more hopeful that any snow falling Fri-Mon will be followed by conditions better suited to keeping snow in place.

Anyone getting snow in in the Marches/West Mids? That clump up close appears to be intensifying and was already looking fairly angry on the radar.

Looks fairly wintry in Wolves too - quite impressed at the radar for that area - would have thought the Welsh hills would have killed off the heavy stuff.

Sleeting here as that heavy area of wintry peip moves up from the B'ham area.

Can confirm that cold zonality gives snow in this bottom corner of dartmoor. Snowed earlier then rain then sleet whole nine yards here!
Dousland, Dartmoor 206 m/asl
Its only going to snow when Gibby says so.
