A nice covering here in Birmingham. Nothing vast and it has stopped snowing but it is nice to not see it melting straight away :)

My ex-Aunt took the following photo of, apparently, snow which fell in a thunderstorm a short while ago, at her home in Paignton Town Centre, Devon. It could well be hail, she's no meteorologist!

Still, if it can do that on the coast in Devon...

Still rain here, although the last shower looked a bit blotchy/sleety

Nothing to report here, but then we are not due until later....I am hoping to see some snow settling before it melts😊 Altitude here is not huge, but relatively speaking, compared to most areas in these parts I do okay....see what the am brings. Enjoy if ya get some white stuff!

Had about 30 mins to an hour of snow on and off, nothing really settled as the ground is too wet here.

Big downgrade for the south on the latest NMM. Mostly rain for central and eastern parts of the south.

Big gap between the last rain shower here and whatever the next one brings. Time for bed. Good luck to all those with a bit of white stuff

Heavy thunder shower has just blown through with strong winds, temporary frequent lightning - but most importantly the temps have dropped over 3.5C in 15 minutes as well as a 2C drop in dew points at the same time.

Nice bit of snow here in Athenry(Galway) not much all day here as too warm perhaps due to the SW component of the wind off Galway Bay, more southerly this evening and have had some beefy snow and hail showers. About 3 cm currently on paths and more on grass. Temperature 0 c. Not bad off a SSW wind embarassed

I can see very distant flashes in high cloud to the west/southwest. Somebody is getting some showers but it ain't me! Just cycled home, roads are wet from earlier rain but despite a largely clear sky it doesn't feel very cold.

Have had a few reports of snow around our local area but it's still rain here, 2.1C up from 1C earlier but it doesn't feel that cold to be honest, I've a feeling that this event may pass without a flake falling on my patch.

Just had a cheeky blustery shower rattle through, a flash of lightning woke me up and got to see a couple more flashes.

Heavy snow here which is settling and we are right on  south west coast. Bodes well! First snow I've  seen on a south westerly!

A thundery shower moved through here at 01.45hrs and dropped the temperature locally from 4.3c at the start of the shower to 2.3c at the end.

Its now 2.1c with a dewpoint of 0.8c. (fairly encouraging to be honest).

I'm at least hopeful of seeing something a little wintry when the next batch of showers currently making landfall just to the east of the Isle of Wight push across here between 5-6am.

The 6am sleet shower in Folkestone was something a little more whiter at 130m asl a couple of miles away in Hawkinge.
