The first half of June looks to be picking up where May left off. After a warm day today we can expect the next 5 days to be below average. After that temperatures should return to average. If this evening's runs are to be believed it may turn somewhat warmer than this but the models have been flipping about quite a bit over the last few days so a lot of uncertainty at the moment.

On the data below we could be nearly 0.5C below the 1971-2000 mean by the 19th.

It will be interesting to see the June CET for next year because for some quirk, Junes of years ending in "6" have tended to be on the warmer than average side, 4 of the top 5 warmest Junes end in a 6 and the CET average for a June ending in 6 is 14.8C

Also Junes with a CET of 16.0C or above seem to be often by a colder than average December, CET average of Decembers following a June of a 16.0C or above is about 3.2C

15.3c for me please. Although as I missed a prediction in May (I was away on holiday and couldn't get onto the site until after the deadline) does that mean I'm out?

Here are the predictions for June. I fear that a large number of people are going to be way too high again this month. In fact as things stand we will do very well to get close to the 1981-2010 mean of 14.5C. So anyone who has predicted higher than this (which is nearly everyone) needs to start praying for a heatwave I think.

Thanks GW. A very minor point, but I was 14.51. However, if you'd like to leave me unchanged, I'm not going to complain! 😨

Definitely looking (relatively) chilly.

Lets hope. I can see from that list that my guesstimate of 15C is above average - but lower than many have gone for.

I have to say that I was jammy in going for 11C for May. I thought I had gone way too low a few days after submitting that figure.

I have to say that I'll do well to hold onto my No2 position for June unless there is a warm spell of sorts.

Interesting how this month will turn out. Been quite pleasant so far - obviously the cool nights will knock the CET down though.

The warmest day of 2015 was 23.8c on April 15th!!

It is the coldest start to June for many years here and would not be surprised if everyone has gone too high in their June cet predictions this year

A huge difference between this year and 2014!
