THIRTY SIX! RECORD CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.
This hot breeze reminds me of being in the canary islands, good for the tan 🙂 .... with sun lotion!
Cloud starting to break here back up to 31
Nice looking thunderstorm to the south of Stockton

I would be 'happy' if the record fell though. It is astonishing how quickly the temps have been surging in spells of sun, so without the intermittent cloud, who knows... 40C may well have been possible.
I maintain that 43C was never likely though
Very hot and humid and hazy, 33c!!!
High cloud cover here with the odd break which lets some burning sunshine through, even with the cloud cover it's 32C.
Heathrow 36.7 so the record has gone.
36.7 heathrow
Compared to when it was sunny at 10am, the humidity is crazy now. Feels much more liks a day in Houston, TX to me. 30c despite the cloud and raindrop's beginning to fall
Just hit the 30 degree mark here, currently 30.1C.
Coningsby in Lincs has recently hit an impressive 33C.
What is the UK record from aug 2003 again? 38?...

Will be interesting to see whether Northolt continues to give Heathrow a run for its money.
I appear to have levelled off now at 33.1c. There were 3 seperate peaks of 33.6c between 1pm and 3pm. A truly remarkable day !
