Some impressive totals being reported. By way of contrast - just 4mm to add since my last post on the 19th! Total for the month now at 39.4mm

Local total for July 2015 is 51mm and in a month that 37c was recorded as well as very cool to very warm nights. One month to remember.
Final total is 58.1mm .. below the 76.7mm average for this area.
Final total was 43.6mm which is slightly below average. 27mm fell in just one day
The link below shows where the wettest places were in July. The eastern part of the central belt of Scotland in and around Edinburgh saw more than 200% of mean rainfall as did parts of the east coast up to Aberdeen.
Another hot spot was just to the north of London also in excess of 200%.
