Sensor for rain bucket    32.1mm Yesterday.  In the TWO manual rain gauges 40mm in each.


Today    2.4mm.

10.5mm so far from the current low pressure system:  Month's total now at 49.9mm - the average for July here is 76.7mm; we'll probably come in a little below average - depending on how much the Cheshire Gap influences any weather coming in from the W to NW ...

Local total for July 2015 is 51mm and in a month that 37c was recorded as well as very cool to very warm nights. One month to remember.

Final total was 43.6mm which is slightly below average. 27mm fell in just one day


The link below shows where the wettest places were in July. The eastern part of the central belt of Scotland in and around Edinburgh saw more than 200% of mean rainfall as did parts of the east coast up to Aberdeen.


Another hot spot was just to the north of London also in excess of 200%.
