We've just had a brighter lull but back to square one again currently - at least it's lighter!

Total here now at just 6.6mm tho' there has been small amounts of precip. every day except today, the 6th, due to the continuation of the moist NW feed in from the Irish Sea through the Cheshire Gap. Even today - where the majority of the UK has seen cloudless conditions - there are fair amounts of cloud at times! As the winds are expected to reverse direction here over the next few days - conditions then should be dry with high pressure and the rain-shadowing effect from the Peak District hills just to the East.
