There are a few names there chosen that made me smile. Gusty, you could be famous!
Frank, just doesn't have a ring about it.
They should of had Norman (stormin Norman), but Nigel!
It's not so much the nature of the storms that I'm dreading, I have to accept that it's all part and parcel of living in the UK at this time of the year, but now they are being given names even if it is just for identification purposes, you just know that the general media are going to hype it up something silly.
Be interesting to see how much extra traffic the differently named storms attract to web sites and hence their monetary value. Definitely a new market here and £££ to be made somewhere along the line.
Naming mid-latitude depressions is absurd and pointless. The most severe weather in the UK is often not caused by a depression moving over.

Presumably there will be a fresh list of names each year? If so, the Atlantic needs to get its act together if we are to reach the 18th Depression "Steve".
